More tests needed for immutable directories #972

In reviewing ticket #948, we found that immutable directories aren't as well-tested as we would like. #948 added more tests for literal directories (DIR2-LIT), but we need similar tests for non-literal directories in at least test_web.py and test_deepcheck.py.
